The kitchen is going to be one of the busiest places in your home. You are going to make three meals a day in here and a countless number of snacks. If you don’t keep things under control, then you are going to waste a lot of time digging through drawers and moving trash around.
If you are interested in cooking a lot of your own meals, then invest in a wall spice rack. Just hang this on the wall and load it up with your favorite spices in an organizational system that makes sense to you. Your spices are now at easy access to the kitchen and they are also out of the cabinet. This frees up space and makes cooking easier. It is a win-win situation.
You should also look into getting a can crusher. If you go through a lot of cans, then you are going to have a lot of waste sitting around. Get a good crusher and make the can and nice metal disc. You can’t do much else to make it easier to store. It will keep your garbage from overflowing and it will also make your recycling that much easier. It’s another win-win.
