I find the fact that I am an odd job man so useful. It is a trade which is not very popular these days and so I find my skills are very much in demand. I can put my hand to anything and probably one of the best jobs that I have had recently was fixing my neighbours Pratt and Whitney PT6. It is not something that I have done before but with a quick look and the pt6a parts and the manual and it was pretty easy to get on with it. My neighbour has unsuccessfully tried repairs on his own before and so wanted someone who knew what they were doing to have a go. I really do hope that the pt6 hot section behaves itself because I have agreed that he only needs to pay me if the work I do is correct and having not done anything like this before there is a risk. This is why I made that offer to him though ? it would not be fair for me to have a go and it not work and me not charge him. Perhaps I am just too honest but I think it is that attitude which has helped make me the successful person I am today.
