I have real trouble finding nice leather wristbands for my husband?s watch. He has a really expensive watch which I got him as an engagement present but the leather straps often wear through. It can with a beautiful strap and when that wore out we tried to replace it but the company who made the watch only did black ones in that style, which we chose. They were wearing through in a few months and it was getting really expensive to replace them because they were an expensive brand. In the end the shop that we used to go to get it done, stopped stocking that brand and so we had to go elsewhere. We didn’t like the service that we got so returned to the original shop and they found us a lovely leather wrist band which was not only much cheaper but was a really good match to the watch despite not being the same brand. It has been wearing really well too so it was a fantastic success. It just shows that you do not always have to buy your favourite brands to get good quality and value for money but if you look around you may find something better for less money.

I have installed video conferencing equipment for firms for years. There is not really much difference between all of the different brands, I just fit what the company want and get on with it. Lately I have been noticing that more and more people are buying Avaya partner ACS and so it makes me think that this must be a really great system. It is pretty easy to fit and when I test it seems easy to use along with the Avaya IP Office phones. I guess that I am not the best judge as all I do is fit and test them but I do assume that if lots of people are ordering them, then they must have had some good reviews and must be a reasonable price. I also think that if the system is easy for me to test then it must be easy for people to use. I suppose I am used to this sort of system and so you may think that I might not be the best judge of ease of use but actually you would be surprised how different they all are and how tricky some of them can be to use. This one, to me, seems to be pretty straightforward which is great for a business as it means that they do not have to spend time teaching their staff how to use the systems, well not too long anyway. I am sure that even a beginner could get a grasp of this one pretty quickly.

I have just been looking around some baby shower favors as my friend is having a baby shower soon and I have offered to buy them for her. I thought it might be pretty hard to get them as I was not sure whether many places would sell them and I did have no luck with the shops in my town. However, I have been really surprised by the amount that there are available on line and it is actually pretty hard to choose which one is the best. Every time I think that I have found the best possible design, I come across another website with even nicer ones available. It is getting a bit silly really! I think I am going to have to set myself a deadline of this Friday to make a decision or else I will not be leaving enough time for me to get them delivered and filled up in time! It has been such fun looking at all of these pretty baby favors as I don’t often get the opportunity to look at pretty things and I am afraid that I have been getting very easily distracted looking at all of the other things that are available as well! Personalized gifts, such as some personalized baby onesies, are good choices too.

My husband has been looking at Kids art supplies lately. He is thinking of trying to get the children doing more art things. I agree that it is good to try to encourage their imaginations, but if they do not show a natural artistic talent then I see no point in pushing them. I was never that good at art as a child, I remember sitting with a friend in my art classes, hiding behind our easels and hoping no one would look at our awful paintings! I did manage two good pictures which were pencil and pastel drawings and I enjoyed playing around but was not good at representing people or animals and especially faces. I suppose playing around is what our children should perhaps be doing and so maybe getting hem a few basic art supplies may not be a bad thing. It may also increase their confidence so when they start having art classes they may have an idea of what to do. I think that perhaps my lack of knowledge of even the basic materials may have held me back a bit, at school. I knew nothing about mixing paints, pastels or even about types of pencil. I had never been shown anything about scale, shading or perspective and perhaps if I knew these things I may have been a lot better.
